OBJECTIVES:
U Directive 2019/1937 on the protection of whistleblowers, which Cyprus has transposed into national law titled “The Law on the Protection of Persons Reporting Breaches of Union and National Law of 2022″, created several challenges which need to be managed by organizations as they have a legal obligation to establish secure and confidential channels for reporting, adopt measures for protecting whistleblowers from retaliation and encourage transparency and accounting across the organization.
This webinar will help participants to acquire strong understanding of whistleblowing concept, of relevant best practices as well as the legal, organizational and technical requirements for adopting an effective whistleblowing mechanism aiming to protect whistleblowers in the corporate environment.

Chrystalla has 20+ years of experience in the Banking, Corporate Services and Technology sectors. Her expertise mainly focuses on Corporate Governance, Internal Audit, Business Ethics, Fraud Prevention and Investigations. Currently, she is the Chief Internal Auditor of a semi-government organization. She is a Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA) and a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), President and Training Director of ACFE Cyprus and member of ACFE Global. She is also member of ICPAC, of the Cyprus Institute of Internal Auditors and of ISACA Cyprus Chapter.
Chrystalla holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, an MBA from CIIM and a Banking Certificate from the American Bankers Association.
